Do I need a handicap certificate?
At most resort courses, no. At championship and older members’ courses, yes — usually a maximum of 28 for men and 36 for women, and some ask for a home-club letter. Every course page states its limit, and we tell you before you book if your group is over it.
How far ahead do tee times open?
Resort courses take bookings a year out. Club courses typically release visitor times between three months and two weeks ahead, and links courses in high summer go the day they open. For a peak-season trip, book the flights and let us hold the times as they release.
What is included in the green fee?
The round and practice balls at most clubs. Buggies, caddies, club hire and insurance are extra and are quoted separately so you can see them. Where a buggy is compulsory — common in heat — the page says so and the quote includes it.
Can we change a tee time after booking?
Usually, if there is space and you ask more than 72 hours out. Inside that, a club may keep the fee whether you play or not, because the time has been off the sheet for weeks. We always ask on your behalf before charging anything.
What happens if it rains?
A course closed by the club is refunded or moved; a course open in bad weather is not, because the round is playable. If play is suspended and you have completed fewer than nine holes, most clubs issue a voucher, and we will chase it for you.
Do you book hotels and transfers too?
Yes, and it is usually where the money is saved. A stay-and-play rate through the resort is often lower than the hotel and the green fees bought apart, and the transfer to a 07:40 tee time is easier to arrange with the rooms.
